What was really great about the scene was Brando's use of the stray cat found walking around the set. He decided to hold it in his lap while the scene was being shot and it worked so well. I love that this scene establishes the entire theme of the films- which is family and relationships. The scene is basically this movie is about the mafia, but it's not John Wick and this is not about murder. And we are not hitmen. We are people who value our relationships. This film is Amazing,i love this trilogy. The heads of the families didn't have the makings of a varsity athlete. The catholic rituals. The Godfather trilogy, what a masterpiece, a lesson in life in each scene. This film struck me and undoubtedly marked many people around the world.
